The 6.5GB Medalist Pro provides enough capacity for storing all those capacity-hungry software applications and operating systems, Internet files, email, and anything else that happens to come along. It has an Ultra ATA-33 drive interface delivering burst transfer rates up to 33MB/second. In addition, the Medalist Pro boasts an internal transfer rate up to 140Mbits/second and an average seek time of 11 ms, enhancing drive performance even further.
The Medalist Pro has a 3.5-inch low profile form factor and was designed with a new fluid bearing motor design for increased reliability and quiet operation. It is Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART) capable, to help prevent data loss and provide advance warning of certain types of drive failures using data-management software.
